Today during a conversation with my landlady, I mentioned that some plans I'd made had fallen through. We'd chatted about those plans briefly during our last conversation a few weeks ago. Today her response was, "Yeah, I had a feeling that wouldn't work out. The whole thing happened in a Mercury retrograde, and I never trust those things."
